It's here! Time to Wear Black and Give Back!

The seventh-annual WEAR BLACK, GIVE BACK has begun!

WEAR BLACK, GIVE BACK is a 24-hour day of giving to the University of Nebraska at Omaha to raise money for scholarships, colleges and programs, student groups and activities, inclusion and wellness, and much more.

From Wednesday at noon until Thursday at noon, UNO is looking for 7,000 generous donors to make a gift of $5 or more during Wear Black, Give Back.

You could help us earn $1 million for UNO scholarships during Wear Black, Give Back! John Morgan, an Omaha North High School graduate who earned his degree from UNO is supporting Wear Black, Give Back with the biggest giving day challenge yet. During Wear Black, Give Back’s lucky 7th year, kicking off on Oct. 7, if donors collectively make 7,000 gifts to UNO, John will give $1 million to support scholarships at UNO! It’s the 7-7-7 challenge! Every gift matters. Help us make history alongside John Morgan. Make your gift of $5 or more today! Every gift — to any cause — helps achieve this goal!

An additional $680,000 for colleges, programs and causes at UNO could be unlocked through challenges and goals YOU can help achieve. With so many important areas to support at UNO, we hope you will find and donate to the cause that means the most to you.

Additionally, every donor of $75 or more will receive a limited edition Durango building block set!

WEAR BLACK: Today, wear your UNO apparel with pride, and tell your friends, family and colleagues to do so as well! Share your spirit on social media with the hashtag #WearBlackGiveBack.

GIVE BACK: Make a gift of $5 or more during this 24-hour period and help reach the 7,000-donor goal!
